Coupons at the Dell outlet!

Get up to 25% off at the Dell Outlet on Mini Netbooks, Laptops, Pirnters and Monitors. The items on this site are mostly refurbished but offer great deals and are great quality. I bought my refurbished netbook from this site using the same coupon in the past and ended up getting a great deal.  The coupon is good until July 30th or until they have received 1000 uses. These coupons don't come around often, so take advantage of it when you get the chance!

Check out the Weekly Ad at Walgreen's, there are some great deals. Including some items that are nearly free with outside coupons and Walgreen's "Register Rewards" program.

Go to dELiA*s stores and try on a pair of jeans to receive a free $10 gift card. I have done this several times and as far as I know, there are no strings attached to actually getting the gift card. Usually there are a few restrictions on the gift card (I think one of them is that you cannot buy things on clearance).  But, it is definitely worth it because you don't actually have to buy the jeans to get the gift card.

Usually after I do this I purchase two pairs of socks which are almost always "buy one get one 50% off." Because of this I usually get two pairs of really cute socks for less than $3 (including tax)! Even if you don't need them for yourself, they make great gifts or prizes!

Radio Call-ins

I love to get things free. That is one of the points of this blog. Finding anything that I would actually find useful for free. I am usually not a huge believer in sweepstakes of any kind whether it's a letter I send in to a magazine, a form I fill out online or a call into a radio line. Usually I am really unlucky and don't win anything, however I lucked out a few weeks ago.

I called into a local radio station and got the voice, "You are caller number nine..." long pause "congratulations!" I immediately got extremely excited as I was sitting in my car in the grocery store parking lot. It sounded like I had won the lottery but in all actuality I won box tickets for two to a hockey game for a team that is pretty well known in the area.

I went to see the game tonight and it was super fun! I got a free t-shirt, two coupons for free frapps at McDonald's, and a free appetizer at Texas Road House. This was all on top of the fact that I had AWESOME seats at the game and free food and drinks throughout the game.

So the moral of my story is, don't doubt your ability to win contests. I actually won one... so keep trying. There are trips, tickets, money and gifts to be won on the radio... so take a stab at it and tell me what you have won!

I LOVE Saving Money!

As this is the inaugural post of my blog that probably no one will ever read, I will explain the process of creating this blog. I am cheap... not in a negative way but I love to save money. I love money but I really love sales, discounts, clearance and so on. I go out of my way to get things at a discount and I am going to document my attempts to save money here.

I attempt to save money on clothes, activities, groceries... you name it, I have tried to save money on it. My goal is to keep an estimated dollar amount of savings I have had on things I have wanted and needed. I plan on taking pictures of awesome finds, describing projects I have created that have saved me money and teaching others how to save money through posts. I travel a ton, am a college student and have a very limited income. I am addicted to clothes and food so money comes into my pocket and flies out quickly.

I will work to keep this updated but I need motivation from my readers. I would love if people commented on my posts. Eventually, I will be looking for contributing bloggers. I would love to invite other "dollar chasers" such as myself to become authors on this blog. Everything from coupon experts to crafters are welcome so please enjoy my blog and let me know if you have any ideas for things you want to read about!
